Join us as we start the Black Hair Exhibit

The film examines the legacy of Black hair from Ancient Africa to present day. The film illuminates the history, pride, and suffering that created the rise of the first great Black entrepreneurs. The film will depict the history of Black hair styles, images and pride in Africa.  The film also deals with the pressure that media driven stereotypes and cultural icons impose on women of all ages and colors. The film is a catalyst to emphasize the broader struggle of African American people in their search for cultural identity and economic independence.
